Emily Briggs is a sustainability strategy consultant and manager. She is passionate about enabling transformative changes in organizations and loves bearing witness to catalytic breakthroughs. Currently, she is attending Columbia University’s Master of Science in Sustainability Management program.
Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Emily oversaw the strategic direction and management of The Natural Step Canada’s Sustainability Learning program as well as the facilitation and animation of The Exchange – a learning network for sustainability professionals across Canada. Her other professional experiences include incubating and managing the Sprout e-course and Fellowship for Social Innovation for TakingITGlobal, a program designed for aspiring social innovators and environmental entrepreneurs who want to grow project ideas and learn to create lasting changes in their communities.
Emily holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto in International Relations and Political Science and has studied Strategies for Sustainability Management at Harvard University. In her spare time, Emily is an outdoor enthusiast, reader of books, lifelong learner and cultural aficionado. Originally from rural Innerkip, Ontario, she has spent the last decade in Toronto and Ottawa, and currently lives in New York City.
